We welcome Anna Freese to the team!
We are happy to announce that we have a new colleague on our team, Anna Freese! Anna has over 19 years of experience in the Life Science industry. She has held several commercial roles at various Biotech and Medtech companies, always with a focus on customer relations and sales. Her experience spans both national and international markets within diagnostics and laboratory technology for universities, biotech, and pharmaceutical companies. Anna also has previous experience working as a recruitment consultant, which she brings to her role at Haeger & Carlsson.
Get to know Anna in the interview below.
Tell us about your background and what brought you to recruitment?
From chemical engineering/biotech studies at Uppsala University to over 18 years in various roles and areas within the industry, my journey has been both multifaceted and exciting. I have worked in various areas and companies, always with a focus on customer relations and sales, both nationally and internationally. Within diagnostics, I have worked in areas such as e.g. clinical chemistry, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases and within lab tech as a supplier to universities, biotech and pharma companies. What has been consistent in my professional career is a strong focus on the customer and that is also what I find most rewarding. I am highly motivated by creating meaningful relationships and see recruitment as the next step in both my professional and personal development. Meeting people and understanding their needs is what drives me forward.
Having a background yourself in specialist roles in life sciences, how do you make use of that in your work as a recruiter?
Having experience from various specialist roles myself contributes to an understanding of the client’s needs, as well as important qualifications to succeed in a role. The experience can relate both to the role itself, but also to different product or therapy areas, customer segments and collaboration partners, etc. A specialist role also implies many different contact surfaces which creates an understanding of different perspectives. Through collaboration with various functions within an organization, both internally and with the client, I have learned an incredible amount about various organizations and companies within the life science industry, which I hope to benefit from in future assignments at Haeger & Carlsson Executive Search and Interim.
In a small team like ours, every individual makes a huge impact on the company journey.
For me, it is very inspiring and rewarding to have the opportunity to influence, both the company’s progress and the dynamics within the team. Being able to contribute to meaningful collaborations and a positive atmosphere in the group is something I value highly. Additionally, I admire Haeger & Carlsson’s dedication to the Life Science community and the active role in the industry’s development. This gives me the opportunity to participate and influence the industry in a positive way. I am excited to be a part of this journey and eagerly anticipate the path ahead.
